A dieline is a production drawing.

It identifies the shape and important boundaries of your package. Use it to position the artwork around seals, folds, openings, and features.

Match the exact format

A stand-up pouch, lay-flat pouch, die-cut shape, and rollstock repeat use different layouts. A similar-looking template is not interchangeable.

Confirm the dimensions

Include width, height, and base depth where applicable, with units. An ounce capacity alone does not identify the correct drawing.

Include the features

Tell us about zippers, windows, hang holes, tear notches, and special shapes. These affect where artwork can be placed.

Send the details for your packaging type.

When you receive the drawing.

Keep the original technical information intact and use separate layers for artwork.

Read the safe areas

Keep essential text and barcodes within the designated areas. Do not infer a generic margin from another bag.

Keep effects separate

Identify white ink, windows, and spot effects on clearly named layers according to the supplied instructions.

Return the complete file

Include linked assets and font handling as instructed. Review the final proof even if the original file looked correct.

Template questions.

Can I download a generic 4 oz template?

A 4 oz target weight does not determine one exact size. Confirm the physical dimensions and format before selecting a production dieline.

What if I do not know the size yet?

Include your product details, target fill, and packing method. We can discuss sizing before preparing the final drawing.

Can my designer contact you with questions?

Use the contact form and include the project details and the question. Keep the artwork discussion tied to the confirmed specification.

Request your production dieline.

Select “Template” and include the format, dimensions, units, features, and any equipment drawing. If you need sizing help, say so in your message.
